At the end of the Brotherhood’s Annual Retreat together, Br. Parker Jordan made his first profession of vows, becoming a full member of the community. Brs. Brandon Frank and Clinton Reed also renewed their temporary vows for one more year. Please continue to pray for these young men as they continue to pursue their vocation in the Brotherhood of Hope.
We were greatly blessed to have Steve Clark as our retreat master during our annual summer conferences. Steve’s example of founding the Servants of the Word in Ann Arbor, MI helped inspire Fr. Philip to begin the Brotherhood of Hope in Newark, NJ thirty years ago.
Br. Adam Neri continued studies this summer in pursuit of a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Br. Clinton Reed began his first year of master’s studies, joining Br. Adam at the summer program.
As a further way of networking with other organizations who promote youth and campus ministry, Brs. Jason Zink and Clinton Reed attended the Kairos Conference of Sword of the Spirit, an International Organization of Communities. The conference theme was “Love for the World” which not only gave our brothers impetus to begin their Spring semester of campus outreach but also personal spiritual renewal.
