Jesus Christ is All-Sufficient because He is God’s perfect response to the needs of human beings. He is the one who satisfies – and more than satisfies – the heart’s deepest needs. For even the good things of this world do not ultimately satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart. The hope for the fulfillment of every authentic desire, especially the desire for communion with the Triune God in this life and in the next, is based on this relationship.
As Brothers consecrated to the Lord by our vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience in the Brotherhood of Hope, we are called to have a permanent and exclusive relationship with Christ that proclaims Him as our All-Sufficiency, witnessing to the fullness of life flowing from Him by living for Primum Deus, Deus Solum – God First, God Alone.
